Writer: Adam ShureyPosted: 3rd June 2009, 4:35am

Here we go folks. It's just after 4am. Let's get this thing started.
4:03am: Still waiting.
4:11am: A game montage is being shown. Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet PSP, God of War 3 and many more are on display.
4:13am: Jack Tretton takes the stage. He promises a ton of live code. He mentions big titles like Final Fantasy 13 and Heavy Rain.
4:17am: He talks about the PS2, "the perfect family console", which will be supported as long as consumers want it. It will be getting at least 100 new games in 2009.
4:18am: Playstation Network has grown hugely. Says InFamous has been hugely successful, great reviews.
4:21am: Evan Wells comes on stage to talk about Unchated 2. The multiplayer beta will be starting soon. Uncharted 2 is an "interactive cinematic experience". He cuts to new single player footage. We see Nathan scaling a wall, then looking out over a huge city. Before long Nathan and Chloe are being pursued by a helicopter and a squad of soldiers, and are being chased through rooms as the environment is destroyed in realtime. There's a realistic back-and-forth going between the characters as they fight for their lives, and the gameplay culminates with the very building they find themselves in partially collapsing, with the two barely surviving the experience. This is all in-game, it looks great.
4:25am: MAG is being shown. We get to see a realtime 256 player battle between developers, the scale is huge. Groups of players can get together to perform actions, such as raiding a bunker. Cover fire is very important to your team's survival. Helicopters can be used as a respawn point. The game is available to play at E3.
4:32am: Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines is coming to PSP on November 10, one week before Assassin's Creed 2.
4:35am: Kaz Hirai takes the stage, and look what he's got in his pocket! He pulls out a PSP Go and goes on to say it will complement the PSP-3000 instead of replace it. It will usher in a new generation of digital distribution. It's 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the PSP-3000. As leaked, it has 16GB of flash memory, integrated Bluetooth, and a Memory Stick Micro slot.
4:45am: Gran Turismo is coming to PSP. It will support ad-hoc multiplayer. Gran Turismo PSP is available to see at E3. They show a video of it in action, looks good. It has a release date of October 1st 2009 to help launch the Go.
4:50am: Hideo Kojima takes the stage. He likes the PSP Go, and says Snake is coming to the console. The game is called Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. It's set 10 years after Metal Gear Solid 3, in the 1970's. Apparently it's the first true sequel in the Metal Gear Solid series. He's deeply involved, and the main team of Metal Gear Solid 4 will be working on it. It's not a side story. Since it's on PSP, he'll be making it fully optimised for the console. He shows a trailer. The game appears to star Big ...
