Borderlands with a friend, split screen the whole way.

I liked the whole game, but once again,
the end is LAME.

It's CRAP!

Why do games keep having crap endings? Seriously, put some thought and / or effort into it. It probably took them 5 seconds to code the thing.

It did seem a bit rushed. I wish you could get to level 50 in one playthrough. I tried a second playthrough but got bored just before the drudge fight or whatever that guy's name was that you face at around level 15.

Yeah there's no real reason to keep playing. It seemed realllyyyy rushed to me. I mean, they teased the end from the start, and then just made it kinda crap.

I think when I beat it my friend and I were level 34, and the last boss took us all of 3 minutes to kill.

I'd consider DLC... providing it was pretty sizeable. You know, took me another 10 levels at least.

Dragon Age: Origins.

Absolutely awesome game.

I finished it over the weekend pretty much non-stop. I haven't been able to stand any game for that much time at once in about 8 years.

I love that the style (character interactions) was exactly like Baldur's Gate as I loved both those games on PC back in the day.

Uncharted 2. Look for review shortly.

I started one the other day too, I figured it would be nice to do a follow up since I covered the first one. I guess I'll just focus on getting Ratchet and Clank done for now then.

MW2, finished the SP on Hardened, moving through it on Vet. Done 3/4 of the Spec-Ops on Vet.

Taking ages to get to the first prestige in MP though, IW ave obviously lengthened that aspect, which is nice.

I never got prestige in CoD4... I reached level 55 like a week before MW2 came out. But I'm 41 or so now after about 24 hours playtime on MW2. Haven't started Vet on it though.

Playing some Aoin now, figure I should put some time in since I've got my one month free with it.

Finished Veteran mode on MW2, probably one of the most "balanced" SP campaigns I've played in a long time. WaW was f*kn horrible, take one step out in the open and the enemy would lose their f*kn minds, drop what they were doing and mow you down. MW2 was challenging without being rediculous. Certain stages were a bit of a bitch, but nothing a grenade/flashbang spam and sprintin like hell didn't fix ^_^ The riot shields were well placed so if you seriously couldn't get down a corridor or somethin you could back up, grab a riot shield and just camp it till your friendlies picked em all off.

All in all, pretty happy with the SP.

Yeah World at War was a bitch, there were a few rooms which were so impossible I think I played them more than 100 times... once you hit a checkpoint it was smooth sailing again. MW had a few chokepoints I reckon but not half as bad as that.

I'll get onto MW2 Vet soon enough smiley Not looking forward to the Favela levels though...

The Fevala actually weren't too harsh if you take it corner by corner, was far from the hardest level that's for sure. I found the estate, where you have to download Makarov's intel the hardest, gettin to the house and gettin away from it was a total bitch. The Gulag was a bit tiresome also, but I had the forsight to carry a riot shield on me into the underground areas which was crazy useful.

I couldn't do World at War on vet.. too buggy, dumb charlies not even pointing their gun at me as they run along and somehow killing me in 2 hits while i'm crouched.. the game was broken in that respect. I beat it on normal i think. Vet on the MW games is a lot easier as it's more accurate and the AI aren't retarded by treyarch's bad programming

Heh yeah, I've been doing my Vet run now. I'm up to... Ummm... ah, the first one in central DC, where you have to go to the Whitehouse. Favela surprised me, I got caught up on a few bits but with some skill and trying out different methods you can get through alright. I have a feeling checkpoints are handled differently in this game. Rather than a specific place I got certain ones after killing all the enemies in an area or something like that.

Levels with riot shields are a god send smiley

Yeah perhaps the worst thing about WaW was the horrible checkpoint placement, MW2 has really improved on it and pretty much doubled the number per map. On a side note, anyone having issues connecting to a game in MP? Since that patch came out I literally *cannot* find a server. It searches, finds 10-15 "good" games....then just goes back to searching, it doesn't even try to connect to them. I was lookin for a HCTDM yesterday, searched for 5mins solid while I did the dishes, nothing.....I went to my friends list and jumped in a mates game, was HCTDM with 4 spots free....

At any rate, finished Dragon Age: Origins the other day. Was pretty harsh to start out, just got totally pwnd as a 2h warrior. So I rolled a shield/sword warrior, dropped the difficulty to casual (I dont pause to cast spells) and really enjoyed it from then on, gettin the healer from the Circle of Mages made it alot easier also, but man it's addictive. Playin through again as a Mage atm.

Yeah MW2 campaign is probably the best hardcore sort of campaign I've played lately. It never gets frustrating because it's mostly a matter of skill.

Every now and then it will take like 15mins to find a game, but that's about 1/100 for me. That said, it always happens in blocks... like no matter what playlist or whatever it just takes ages. Not sure why that is.

There's a few more exploits since the javelin patch. On 360 anyway people with modded consoles can get unlimited ammo in public matches and anyone playing with them gets it too... lots of toobs. That said, it's not in too many games. They'll probably get a new patch out before you come up against much of that. There's another hack that can make private matches public. Like, I searched for a groundwar match I think and got put into a hardcore domination (not a playlist) with unlimited score. Of course I didn't realise this, being on party chat. So we got to 1000 points and then switched to game and asked. Frustrating... Infinity Ward has their hands full.

Dragon Age I only switched to casual once (so far), for the first Ogre boss. I got close to killing him once or twice by kiting him but I was doing basically no damage and he was killing my team mates in one shot.

Yeah, many of the bosses are very frustrating in Dragon Age. It would be okay if there was just the boss on it's own, but usually they have various cohorts, and unless you knock them off first, it's almost impossible to kill the boss. Then they have the f**king annoying habbit of summoning lesser creatures just as they are 1/4 health and you're about to win. I had to cheat in various ways a few times to beat some of them. If you are lucky some of the enemies just glitch and end up getting stuck in place, then you can easily slaughter them. It's kind of dodgy that you have to rely on that sometimes. I'm still undecided on whether it was "great" or just ok. There is a lot of frustration in the game.

I actually found one of those games yesterday Nap. Friend invited me to a Domination game, aussier server - game started and literally 100 noobtubes hit our spawn in like 3secs....was like WTF!?!

It was actually alot of fun, noobtubes everywhere - barrages of Javelins - Pred Drones fire 5 missiles and god help you if the enemy gets an AC-130....unlimited main gun that fires as fast as you can click....pretty much levels the entire map and any enemy that spawns for a solid 15secs.

I think I had a glitch in the Deep Roads with that weird rotating thing that shoots stuff out of its mouth. My party members wouldn't move, attack or heal until I'd almost killed it. Or was that supposed to happen?

No they're not supposed to do that, but I've seen several different times where the party AI wig out and just stand there for no reason.

I finished DJ Hero last week. By finished, I mean I got all the stars and unlocked everything. I was a little uncertain about the game when I bought it, but I'm glad I did as it was a whole lot of fun. smiley I've never been much good at Guitar Hero, but I found DJ Hero to be much easier to get the hang of and master. The fact that you can't fail songs is a great confidence booster. The music list is really good, with a nice selection of older and more recent songs mixed together to form some great new tracks. The turntable controller is easy to use and very responsive, and you can also plug in a guitar controller for some co-op or versus play since quite a few tracks have their own dedicated guitar section.

To anyone who has any interest in music games, I highly recommend it.

Just finished Fable 2(on the 360) & actually enjoyed it even more than the first one and The Lost Chapters.

I'll definitely be looking into getting both of the addons for it  asap.

Edit : also looking forward to Fable 3 as well now. smiley

I recently replayed Mass Effect too. I quit pretty early in the game - some time around when I got the Mako, I think. Glad I gave it another try, really. Looking forward to the sequel.
