I finished Jericho (Clive Barker).. was mixed, but the bosses were really f**ked up, and in general a really f**ked up gory game, so in general I came away fairly satisfied. Being able to teleport into your different team mates, and being able to utilise their quite interesting abilities was really innovative. The often sucky repetitive bad guys, and stupid design where one bad guy could explode and bring down your whole squad let it down though.

Command and Conquer 3.
Played it a bit when it came out on 360 and found it clunky and horrible, saw the 4th was comin so I gave it another crack. Still not as user-friendly as the PC version, but once you get used to it it's ok. Good to see EA gettin back to the things that Westwood studio used to make the original C&Cs awesome - good story line, good gameplay and epic cut-scenes! Kane's Wrath looks horrible so I think I'll be skippin that, but still pumped for C&C4 - though I think I'll fork over the extra $$$ for the PC ver.
You liked Jericho Pred? I got about 30mins into it and took it back, aside from being rediculously gory I just found the whole thing half-baked, everything in the game just seemed cheap and unpolished.

Gave me more enjoyment than MW2 ? yeah, it wasn't great, but passed a few hours, and there have been more derivative / boring FPS around.. only paid $20 for it though. Yeah, I am one of those that love gore for the sake of gore

Assassin's Creed 2 Discovery
7/10
It handles well, like Prince of Persia, but the ending is frustratingly hard compared to the rest of the game. Well worth a try if you're an Ezio addict like myself.

Is that the iPhone one? Can the touch play all the same games as the iPhone? Just wondering 'cause they're pretty cheap over here.
Anyone play the new PSP AC by the way? Wanted to know if it's any good.

Uncharted 1 (and 2... if I didn't mention it). Probably played them in the wrong order as it was hard to go back to the lesser controls and less interesting setpieces/mission structure/story etc. Still, a fun game.

I finished Mass Effect 2 and Bakugan: Battle Brawlers. Mass Effect was great, probably better than the first one. I played a Paragon Vanguard Shepard as always. I've nearly got all the achievements, but beating the game on Insanity is proving to be a bit tough I must say. Bakugan was actually pretty decent, and fairly creative so it's kept me attention. Getting all the trophies is easy (I can't resist) but time consuming. I'm pretty close though.

Mass Effect 1.. Took me about 22 hours, finished a few of the side missions but not all of them.
Definitely one of the better games there has been, although in a way I wished the storyline was expanded a bit. There are only 3 main worlds you need to complete, a lot less than I thought there would be. I was at the last mission today without really realising it, then it dawned this must be the last bit just before the end.
Have the 2nd one sitting on the shelf ready to play, might wait a bit before diving in though.

I'm about halfway through the SP atm, really enjoying it - I love the way the scope/aim of the gun moves as you fire it, very realistic (or feels it anyway), reminds me of that FPS sequence near the end of the Doom movie. The characters aren't quite as funny as the reviews I read lead me to believe, but they're still alright.
Only issue so far is the shotguns suck hard.

I agree with all that. The sounds are the most bad ass I've heard in any game, that's the main thing I notice different in SP from MP. Everything sounds like you're shooting a super massive dense black hole at someone and punching a hole through em. That's the best I can describe it. Shotguns do suck as well. No good for anything. There is one that shoots like a single-shot rifle but is supposedly a shotgun... can't remember the name. That's alright.
The humour I didn't quite get. The only bit I had a laugh at was at the end where everyone's like 'let's go home' but then they turn around... and try and convince the hick guy. No more BBQs, no more monster trucks, wrestling etc. Maybe 'cause it reminded me of a similar joke in Generation Kill.

The hippy is pretty funny though, I lol'd at a few of his comments. "I thought you were a pacifist?" "Hey man, even Bhuda had to kick some ass sometimes"

Yeah a few of his lines were pretty good, and I liked that one but I was thinking at the same time about what the message behind it was. I think I was thinking that 'either they mean a) that pacifists are stupid or b) that people are driven to desperate acts in desperate situations'. Then I remembered that it was a light hearted FPS and moved on.

I remember from the first one, a few attempts at humour were lame, but in the end i did think it made it more interesting, even if I wasn't really lol'ing at anything.

I sunk a fair few hours in to Mass Effect 2 last night. It's addictive, and I'm owning. The collectors came along and I just obliterated them. Their husks? Thanks Left 4 Dead... no troubles at all!

Infamous. Made a conscious choice to play evil, which I normally don't do. Kind of cool ending, but boy is the framerate all over the place. Still good fun... only 35 blast shards away from a full set

I really couldn't take Infamous. Lots of things frustrated me in that game, and I think I had prototype at the same time which provided more instant gratification.

Yeah, it's a slow burn. You've gotta keep slogging away, doing the side missions, upgrading your powers. It gets repetitive but towards the end you get cooler and cooler powers. Plot-wise it's all over the place but has an ending I didn't see coming. Still, I felt compelled to play it when I wasn't.

Yeah fair enough. I got it when I was in the States and played a few hours there, and when I got home had to start again. Even if it's a few hours it really puts me off.

Caesar 4
Yep, that's right. Smashed C3 back in the day and my sister pulled this out of a discount bin for $5 and mailed it to me ^_^ Actually *alot* better than the third, though still has some really stupid bugs.
There's two types of campaign, city oriented and militaristic - went the military route first so I'll have to replay on the city oriented one now.
All in all a good game though, if you like building cities and governing trade / military etc you may like it.

It's RTS, though you can control the flow of time similar to The Sims. I've never played Civ, though it shares some similarities to total war. You don't control more than one city at a time but you can open trade with other roman cities, Rome sends you demands for weapons / food / goods and troop support. You can build full on armies and battlements to defend your cities from legions of enemies (in the military one its obviously more about that). But mostly, it's about building a well ordered city that tends to the needs of workers (food, entertainment, religion etc) while maintaining trade routes and importing what you need while balancing your exports to keep a steady stream of income to cover wages, buildings etc
The 4th introduced the hierarchy of workers, so now you have don't just have people - but a combination of Plebs, Equitaies and Patrecians. It might sound complicated but the good thing is the entire game is based on math (unlike the 3rd), so once you understand what does what and which buildings go where - it's all about equilibrium.
