Deuce Bigalo: European Gigalo -
A pretty damn funny film that succeeds in hauling the fans of the first film back into Deuce's journey of being a man-whore. The plot goes that there is a man-whore killer on the loose in Europe and Deuce just happens to find himself caught up with the issue as he travels to Europe to see TJ (the irreverant black man-pimp we met in the previous film  ), and Deuce goes back into the dog-eat-dog world of man-whoring only to discover a new love, after he so tragically lost the one he loved from the first film (in a hiliarious sequence of events :2funny: ).
A pretty damn funny film that is on-par with the original but perhaps a little too vulgar at times

Oceans 12

Not as good as the first- and after seeing this in the cinemas i hated it...enjoyed it more second time around- but its a tad confusing and gets stupid towards the end...the Bruce Willis and Topher Grace cameos were funny but you get the impression it was just a big piss up in Europe for those involved...

Hostage

Pretty good movie. The pretty standard story of a cop who worked for the big police (LA), botches a job (Rescuing hostages), moves to small town where a similar problem occurs. Despite this, the movie was quite good. I did find it funny that a few pot smokers could easily get into a multimillion dollar house with a state-of-the-art security system.

"You're so wise....you're like a miniature buddha, covered in hair."
"Oh, it's so hot. Milk was a bad choice."

Funniest movie.

Can't wait for 40-year-old Virgin - did you see Carell on Rove this week?

"I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany."

"I'm in a glass case of emotion!"

"Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast!
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch!
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart!
Ron Burgundy: I saw that! Brick killed a guy! Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident!
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder."

"Brian Fantana: They've done studies, you know. Sixty percent of the time it works every time.
Ron Burgundy: That doesn't make sense."

I'm gonna punch you in the ovary, that's what I'm gonna do. A straight shot. Right to the babymaker.

That was damn hilarious. Also the big fight scene between the different news teams was funny, and also when he tried to blame the pattern of his pants for his errection.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

5/5 For a movie that is still going strong after 30 odd years, this an original cult classic. Corny, funny, raunchy & good just for a laugh.
With memorable songs such as "The Time Warp", this movie is a lot of fun.
Cast includes Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon & Barry Bostwick.

The audience participation at a midnight screening is a must.

Signs

Alot of people have some serious hatred for this movie- but i really dig it...great performances all round- especially from the kids- some genuine scares and alot of subtle humour...

Exit Wounds

It was on TV last night. It's a Steven Segal film...I thought DMX was quite good in the movie. The story felt a bit rushed. Steven Segal was his usual self. Anthony Anderson was a crack up.

Lethal Weapon: Directors Cut

I hadnt watched Lethal Weapon in years, still remains pretty good to this day. This is a true directors cut and features approximately 10 extra minutes of footage not seen before which add to the storyline and shows how Riggs is crazy. Good buddy cop flick.

Starsky and Hutch

I dig it...probably could have been a tad funnier in places and they probably missed some opportunities, but Owen Wilson makes me laugh no matter what...that damn nose has some serious kinks in it!

Well, I watched Laputa: Castle in the Sky on SBS on Wednesday night and I watched A Clockwork Orange on the weekend... Again.
Both top-notch films, both at very far and very different ends of the spectrum :afro:

Labyrinth

Excellent kids movie from the genius that is Jim Henson...probably hasnt aged as well as i'd hope (same goes with Dark Crystal) but still quite enjoyable...David Bowie is a crack up- especially his dance moves while it stars a young Jennifer Connolley (Requiem for a Dram, Beautiful Mind)...

Oh, I liked Signs too.

Saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a second time, and MAN, all the nuances of a Tim Burton film come out. I picked up on all the little things that suggested that Wonka was skewing the "competition" towards Charlie all along - like fiddling with the keys in the Nut Room.

The last movies I watched were..
Jin-Roh, Spriggan (both today, both anime), White Noise (yesterday) and Nausicaa: Of the Valley of the Winds (on SBS on Wednesday, anme).
All relatively good films. Nausicaa and Jin-Roh being the best of the bunch.
