Not entirely sure whether it's a shell - apparently there were holes or clips or ports or something on the back that suggested Wiimote connectivity, but hey, enjoy the piccy. Can't wait to play Super Metroid on this baby.

i think the home button brings up the console menu when in-game - kind of like xbox 360's dashboard?
i also think it might connect to the wii-mote to be wireless...but i dunno
playing s/nes games on that - yes fine. playing n64 games...i dunno
and i like the colour - very apple-ish grin im sure you would be able to get other colours too

Yep. At E3.

The Z button of the N64 would have to be relocated to on of the top little ones. The second analogue stick works for me instead of the C stick.

I saw that at E3 last week.

I even showed it up in the E3 thread, but someone took the pictures out....

I'm looking at you nshady.

I reckon it's an alternative, and it could be used for fighting games.

1. I didn't take any pics out. I looked for them, but couldn't see em anywhere.

2. Again, I know peeps here knew about it. The point is that this is about the main page article, and it's more specialised than the overall E3 topic. I'm not claiming to have broken some huge news article.

3. You wanted more forum action, didn't you? Why argue about new topics??

I think those games featuring Wiimote functionality won't need a shell for more buttons or anything anyway as the game will be specially mapped to the Wiimote's button layout. And anyway, with the Nunchuk attachment included, the Wiimote actually has quite the reasonable amount of buttons for most types of games.

This is a 'classic controller' for the Virtual Console games and Wii games from lazy developers. Not a 'shell'at all.

Well, like I said, apparently there's clips or something on the back. And didn't Nintendo always say, Oh yeah, you can clip in the Wiimote for motion support too?

When did Nintendo 'always' say that? I thought that was like, one time?

This will be rad for any game pre N64....for anything newer I am not so sure. It doesn't look like it would be comfy for say Mario 64. Have to wait and see though. I hoped maybe the GC controller could still be plugged in for GC playback, and maybe that could be used for N64 games as well.

Yeah it can be, don't worry about that. Proof is that the classic controller has a cord so no doubt fits into the GC plugs they said they were including.
