Recommendations?

Hey guys
I got a Wii the other day and haven't really kept up with this generation of consoles at all. My main reason for getting one was to have a casual system I can play on, both in single player and two player with my girlfriend. At the moment I have it offline - i'd rather keep the hardcore and online multiplayer gaming to the PC.
So far I have Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (played it on GameCube and heard the Wii controls are awesome), De Blob (came with the console and is actually quite cool), Okami (never played it on PS2 but always had a niggling interest since it was first released back then, and it's even more enhanced now with the Wii Remote) and Dewy's Adventure (cutesy one for the girlfriend - doesn't look too bad actually and it was only $40). I'm also on the verge of buying Endless Ocean because it looks interesting and relaxing. Sometime in the future i'd like to pick up Twilight Princess but not immediately as i'd rather wait for a price drop considering its age.
Are there any more games you would recommend? Not particularly future games, but older games from launch until now I may have missed? Only genre i'd dismiss completely is turn-based RPGs which I don't like. To comment on the big titles, I am considering Mario Galaxy but I didn't really like Mario 64 (though I loved Banjo-Kazooie) - just wasn't fun enough to hold my interest further than a few worlds, so i'm not sure about it. Smash Bros. Brawl i'm not that interested in as i've played the other SSB games - same goes for Mario Kart. Zack & Wiki looks interesting but is there any replay value? Hidden things, stuff to unlock etc?

My favourite Wii game this generation is definitely Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Great first person controls and a deep, epic adventure. Looks amazing too. Zack & Wiki was great fun, but not massive replayability because you'll generally remember what to do the second time around once you've solved all the puzzles. Give Galaxy a rent - it's not as amazing as everyone was saying it was, but it's still a really fun game. Super Paper Mario is a real time, side-scrolling 3D action RPG which you may like. For $15, you can't go wrong with LostWinds or World of Goo on WiiWare either.

My brother has MP3C so i'll have a go of it and see. Is SPM slowly paced despite not being turn-based?

It's an RPG, but the battles are like classic head-bopping Mario.

It's pretty much Super Mario Bros with HP, 3D elements and plane switching. Great game.
My other recommended Wii games:
Mario Galaxy (you may be pleasantly surprised)
WarioWare: Smooth Moves (I found it a lot of fun, decent party game too)
Twilight Princess (great if you liked Ocarina of Time, which I'd say would be most people)
To be honest though, I'm no big fan of the Wii, I've gotten more use out of my PSP.

Dude, I was about to write 'No More Heroes' and then I thought, oh wait, Adam will want to say that one, so I deleted it.
And then you didn't even suggest it!

No More Heroes! AA++ would play again.
Also:
Super Mario Galaxy (very, very good game)
Twilight Princess (a bit over-rated, but a decent romp for a Zelda fan, if not very challening)
Mario Kart Wii is pretty great with friends, but steering with the remote is stupid and not-fun.
Brawl is also decent with friends, but if you all got sick of Melee you won't last long on Brawl.
Zack & Wiki is alright. Not much replay value though.
Metroid Prime 3 was a let down for me, there weren't any puzzles, the exploration was non-existant and the combat was so-so.

I'll check MP3C and Mario Galaxy then. NMH looks alright but its a bit gay that we got an edited version. Playing Dewy's Adventure atm and it's pretty cool

Normally it's well and truly on my recommendation list (Wii games don't get much better than NMH imo), but I just wasn't sure whether it was a good title to recommend in this situation, so I went with some safer options. Not to mention the U.S version is the only way to play it.

Didn't enjoy No More Heroes, Metroid really is off the hook and one of my favourites this gen, Endless Ocean I think is off the freakin' hinges too, I've poured hours into that game. If it interests you you'll probably like it. One of the nicer looking games on the system I think.
