Unfortunately for SONY Australian sales don't have much influence.

Get your math right, Dave. 288,757 divided by 589,873 times 100 = 49.0%. That's hardly sixty percent. In fact, you could go as far as to say that for every PSP sold in Australia, two Nintendo DS systems have been sold. While it's not light years, it's pretty damn significant.
Now, the PS3 has been out for 15 weeks. It has now sold 50,000 units, which puts it at around 3333 systems per week. The Wii has been out for 30 weeks, and has sold 100,000 units. As you should have realised by now, that's the same average of 3333 systems per week. They're selling at the same rate - a fact that is also supported by the mere 969 unit difference between PS3 and Wii sales in quarter 2.
