I reckon that this generation will be one of the longest but it will be the last generation of purchasing video games. All games will eventually be downloadable, that is when download bandwidth in Australia increases. Would be much easier, but takes the fun of having a collection of games with boxes and manuals.
Whenever that might be!!!! Telstra are doing their absolute best to keep us under their thumb and one of the slowest broadband speeds around!!!!

Unfortunately though we are never rid of telstra all together as any company that we change to is still renting the phone cables, optic cables etc from them in some shape and form!!!!

Unfortunately some people don't have the choice. My family bought a cable internet connection with Telstra with no other option as no other internet suppliers would service to the edge of suburb (too far out from the city at the time I guess). I'm not sure if Optus still doesn't operate out there yet. Through of course if there is a choice I see your point completely. My Dad got screwed over with his Telstra connection a few times in the past involving a time when the connection wasn't working correctly and he was still being charged. He got the money back though.

I forget who I used to be with... Started with an A, they're out of business now, but somehow when they weren't charging people they left their net on for about 6 months. We got half a year of free internet, and they didn't want anything for it.

Nationwide broadband if it's gonna cost the same as broadband does now. Our prices are ridiculous, and so are the speeds. The rest of the world is far ahead of us in terms of the price they pay (I'm talking at least 2Gbit, unlimited for the price we pay for dialup, sometimes less). When broadband gets as cheap as it should be, then I'll get it.
I think the thing that me the most are those retarded ADSL2+ plans. You know, the $19.95 ones that have a 150MB limit or something. WHAT THE f**k IS THE POINT.

The most annoying thing telsrta does is on certain plans they charge $150/gig for every gig you use over your limit.

I heard Telstra once sucked so hard that they made the internet go in reverse.
