Suprised you guys dont have a article about Gates last day at MS.

Certainly he is a pioneer in the technlogical world, and his advanced in computer technology has seem some fast changes. But with gates leaving, how will this affect MS? He has said he is continuing to work on special projects within MS, whether this means from a buisness or R&D technological sense we won't know.

I dont really expect any other big advances in 360 technology or capabilities in the next two years, MS interest in developing PC games has been limited to AOE, RoN and Flight Sim and I dont think we shall see an expansion of the genre or game line up. I forsee continous expansions for their three franchises.

He's made a pretty massive impact on life as we know it today. It's a little sad to see him go, though his work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is undoubtedly important too.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see Microsoft letting third parties include 360s in their devices, which would be a pretty big shake up of traditional console hardware design.

Despite my dislike for MS - its impossible to deny Gates the title of pioneer, as stated.

To go from very little to building an empire worth upwards of $80billion US, and utterly cornering the OS market is no small accomplishment.

Wonder how stocks will do with the move?

I'm guessing there wasn't already an article as we've all known about it for a while since he first announced his retirement. There was also that clip he made of his last day that I saw a couple months ago.

I'm thankful to everything MS has brought to me and hope he has a nice retirement.

Was a good insight, more into Bill Gates, rather than Microsoft too much. Some of it I have seen before, but was a good watch. Hope some of you saw it.
