Hey Guys.

I'm in the market for a new set of headphones, to replace the junk ones I got with my iPod, but I can't decide which to go with.

I don't really mind cords, but I wouldn't mind having a wireless set to use with my TV at night. But I've had RF headphones before and they suck, hardcore.

So I've been looking at bluetooth headsets, which seem to have decent quality sound, can work with iPods / TVs etc, and even come with a mic to intercept calls from my mobile while I'm listening to music (and I'm guessing I could also link it into my PS3).

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used bluetooth headphones, designed for sound quality, and how they found them, thx smiley

i have bluetooth head phones - a pair of logitech something or others
not bad sound but its a very stiff pair of wrap around headphones - kind of uncomfortable
they are also now cracked along the main stem and it interferes with the power causing the sync to be lost
buy a pair that are foldable if you can, and rechargeable - other that those 2 things the sound over bluetooth is fine

I priced a few pairs today, they started at $120, and were all wrap-around style, which I hate, I love the big tanky ones.

I found an awesome pair designed for iPod, internal batery etc etc.........$300 in Clive Peters, BOO! Even they were fairly small and looked uncomfortable.

I ended up buyin a set of Sienhierzer (spelling?) for $50, corded.   I'll wait for the prices to drop and the tech to pickup a bit before I shell out $150+ for a decent pair.

Well these Senhiezers turned out to be a piece of junk. Ok sound quality but the headphones are quite uncomfortable and the cable is all twisted out of shape and seems about to break. I'll take em back and see about a dif pair, or just get my money back and wait.

How would you go about modding your own headphones with bluetooth?

I found a stock in town today, picked em up for $150 after the salesman said I could bring them back if I didn't like them. They are charging now so I'll see how they go.

Only issue with them is they don't have a mic, which I was hoping for to use with my PS3, but I rarely use the mic anyway, so no big deal I spos.

I tried a pair made by Logitech.

They were crazy uncomfortable (wrap around the neck type), sound quality was ok, not great but not as bad as RF, they did cut out now and then, but it was only for a short time.

I did some research and found Blueant made the best ones, you'd have to buy them online.

Quite frankly, they're not worth the money unless you doing something that you really can't have cords hanging around. For PS3, you could spend the same amount of money and get a decent pair of wired ones.
I did that at uni and simply bought some oxygen-free wiring, added a male pin to one end, a female to the other and then ran it under my carpet, up the leg of the chair and simply plugged the headphones in under a cushion. Sounds lame, but it was invisible, cheap and good quality sound.
