So my feeling is there's been a lot of apathy about the beginning of digital radio. Some of the features will be nice, but they aren't instant selling points. Anyway, Nova announced 'NovaNation', a dance station. Thoughts?

looking at the us that have sirius and xfm (i think?) - who gives a toss?
if its like digital tv you can still get a sh*tty signal but now instead of ghosting and a slight hiss, you get a blocky picture and skipping sound - so i for one dont care about digital radio. song names on your radio? bah, do i care what the latest pop emo trash is called?

I don't listen to the radio so I couldn't give a fig. "blah blah blah britney spears' new haircut - blah blah blah Hamish and andy loving their own voice etc etc".

Ipod Touch + Alpine sound system = win.

I'd like to have tracks names to go with the radio, every now and then they can play something good that I might want to check out.

Thats a good idea Julz.

Will AM be going digital too?

Then their main (and possibly only) demographic wouldn't know how to tune in....

You know that Digital radio does that, right? Pause, rewind live radio? Images?

Yeah I meant that statement saying that's a good thing digital radio would bring. I didn't mean it as a new idea.

Digital Radio is nothing too exciting really, it's never going to be as much of an upgrade as Digital TV has. I have to say having song names to go with what's playing is actually a great idea, but not quite worth going out and buying a new radio for.
