Anyone else head about this? Found this statement online....

The franchise’s producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli released the following statement:

"Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on Bond 23 indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of Bond 23."

Daniel Craig added “I have every confidence in Barbara and Michael's decision and look forward to production resuming as quickly as possible."

I doubt it will be the end of the Bond franchise, someone will buyout MGM or outright buy the rights to Bond and continue the movie.

That's walkin around money to Rupert Murdoch =p

At any rate, if they have that much debt, then they'll probably be lookin to liquidate - eg, cheap Bond franchise for someone.

Royale was quite good, I wasn't a fan of the last one at all, nothing really happened, and the ending, and the bad guy, and ... aggg
