We've just sourced some new screenshots for Riders of Rohan, the upcoming expansion for the award winning Lord of the Rings Online, which is now mostly free to play mind you.
The landscape of Riders of Rohan is the largest ever developed by Turbine for an expansion pack and is over twice the size of what the team designed for Mines of Moria. The eastern plains of Rohan are divided into six, diverse areas ranging from the rolling plains of the croftlands to the shadowy eaves of Fangorn Forest.
This expansion raises the level cap to 85, and also includes mounted combat - something LOTR fans have been requesting since launch.
Expect Riders of Rohan to hit store shelves September 5th, 2012.
