Following flagging sales and disappointing circumstances, Peter Moore, President and chief operating officer, has resigned after years of loyal service.

The San Francisco-based arm of Sega didn't give an explanation for Peter Moore's departure. His responsibilities will be taken over by the parent company's chief executive officer, Tetsu Kayama.

"We thank Peter Moore for his four years of service at SEGA and wish him well in his future endeavors," Kayama commented on Moore's departure.

And to which company did Moore take up immediate employ? Microsoft. Jeepers. They seem to be cornering the market on video gaming big-wigs as of late.

We'll keep you posted withn any official comment from either Moore or Microsoft.
