Yesterday marked the release of the highly anticipated Volleyball game, Dead Or Alive: Xtreme Volleyball in Japan. It seems the game has been a huge hit and as pictures show they were lining up for this game.

"According to wholesale data on the FIRST day of the distribution 72,881 units were sold to Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball by DEAD or in Japan."

"Tecmo communicates that the initial delivery quantity of DEAD was or to Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball with 120.000 units. The Sports title was released into Japan on 1/23/03. The title was 1st place on all dealer Charts. Sales figures are to be published shortly."

Selling well over half its shipment in the first day, you'd expect to see more orders for this popular title.
