Devastation Multi-player demo to be released on March 20th - PC
14th March 2003, 7:55pm
Entertainment software publisher NovaLogic Ltd. today announced that developer Digitalo will release a multiplayer demo for its Cyberpunk FPS Devastation on March 20th. Containing two maps, the MP demo showcases Devastation's beautiful OFX Particles and real world physics engine allowing gamers to interact with objects in net and LAN games. The demo will feature three game types across two maps: Deathmatch or Streetwar in the Embarcadero Depot locale and Capture the Flag in the abandoned Union Rail Yard locale. Both maps are packed with powerful weapons and interactive objects including the powerful P*Laser and the remote-controlled Rat Drone.
The demo showcases Devastation's stunning physics engine, which gives players the ability to pick up and throw objects at opponents. Players can also set up Arcade or Simulation modes at the server level. Devastation's MP demo will not be exclusive to any online site and will be available to download from all key sites.
To wet your appetite, we've included two brand new screenshots directly from these multiplayer levels and character concept artwork.
The full game will be released on April 17 in Europe with 14 total multiplayer maps, and 22 single player maps, plus a full-featured editor and tools.
Devastation will ship on PC CD - ROM across the UK on April 17th 2003.
