Karaoke Stage Announced By KOE - PS2
28th August 2003, 12:00pm
In one of the most innovative titles to grace the PlayStation 2 system, Konami of Europe is proud to announce Karaoke Stage – the first sing-along game for a home format! The product is due for release in 2004, and will be shown for the first time in the UK at this year's ECTS trade show in Earl's Court, London.
Karaoke Stage is set to change the way we use our PlayStation 2. Featuring an incredible selection of Karaoke classics, the game invites players to step up to a USB-compatible microphone and turn their homes into a concert stage as they sing their favourite tunes and are supported by the game's in-house band and an appreciative audience. Using proprietary voice recognition software, Karaoke Stage judges the user's pitch and rhythm as they sing along to a host of well-known tunes, ranking them as they sing.
