Futuris Powerplay 2003

Each year we have "E3" (trade only, +18) in America and "The London Games Week" in the UK. Since last year Belgium has also its own event which focuses on press, consumers and retail; ING Futuris Powerplay.

The first weekend of the autumn leave 2002 (school vacation) the whole Brussels Event Brewery (several halls, corners and on four floors) was the place-to-be for a superior happening; the most recent developments in the gaming community were shown to the public.

More than 15.000 people visited the first edition of Futuris Powerplay.

Futuris Powerplay is a "discover&do" event; it's important for the visitors to actually experience the products by using them. It's much more than "just being there", gamers can now try and enjoy new or upcoming releases themselves. This will not only be a good opportunity for end-users, also members of the press can now try out new games before they are even released!

You will find all consoles, game publishers with their newest top games (of which some are really exclusive), JIM's GamePower, a game shop, a big LAN Party and the newest mobile phone games cooler than ever! Apart from that you will also be able to check out the newest Anime and manga in (avant)première.

Publishers include; Nintendo (with Mario Kart: Double Dash, F-Zero GX, 1080° Avalanche, Super Mario Advance 4 and many others), Electronic Arts (with Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, The Lord of the RingsTM: The Return of the KingTM, FIFA Football 2004 and many others), Microsoft Xbox (Halo Combat Evolved, Project Gotham Racing 2, Counter Strike, Grabbed by the Ghoulies and many others), Nokia – N-GAGE, Activision and Sony Ericsson.

Exclusively at Futuris Powerplay, Ubi Soft will be showing XIII, Beyond Good and Evil and Prince of Persia to the public.

For the first time, The PlayStation Experience will leave London! PlayStation Experience is back and this time its even better than before! Building on the success of last years 3 day event at Earls Court, PlayStation Experience has now gone Pan European! Gamers will be able to visit and experience this huge gamesevent at ING Futuris Powerplay. This is a scoop for Belgium! Expect yourself to see games such as NBA live 2004, Eye-Toy: Groove, WRC 3, Gran Turismo 4, Jak II and Ratchet&Clank 2.
