The news reel has been hot tonight with Capcom announcements. As a very wise man once said 'It is best to start from well the start'.
Viewtiful Joe 2
Capcom presented Viewtiful Joe 2 which will arrive on the PS2 and Gamecube. VJ2 will see players get comfortable again with cel-shaded, comic book movie realm and gameplay elements that has made Viewtiful Joe standout. Joe has been practising that will see him with new moves, and a playable heroine Silvia his girlfriend and watch out she is equipped with pompoms and will have no troubles with enemies with a projectile weapon. New visual effect (VFX) has been introduced such as replay. Environments will be spanned across jungle, snowy mountains and outer space. Joe certianly has his work cut out for him with over 40 new types of enemies to take care of.(Details)
Resident Evil 4
Capcom also presented Resident Evil 4 a new chapter in the renowned series. Resident Evil 4 will be an exclusive to the Gamecube and will see Leon S return. Leon is now a US agent with a top secret mission. Your job will be to investigate the disappearence of the President's daughter which has led him to a mysterious location in Europe. (Details)
Devil May Cry 3
Capcom has announced the return of Devil May Cry with Devil May Cry 3 for the PS2. It has been several thousand years since Sparda (demon warrior) defeated the unholy world to save the human race. Sparda joined mankind and fathered Dante a half human-half demon. His twin Virgil is consumed by power and upholds the legacy of his sinister ancestors. The game unfolds before the original Devil May Cry to the fateful clash between the twins. On Dante travels he encounters formidable enemies and mysterious characters as well as a femal hunter whose mission is to take down all demons including Dante (Details)
Monster Hunter
Another game to be showcased was that of Monster Hunter a new online action game for the PS2. Online play can see up to four players working as a team to vanquish monsters and accomplish tasks. You play as a monster hunter and will face a variety of tasks and battle against powerful monsters either alone or in a small group. You will be able to create your own character even selecting hair, face, voice to make it unique. You will be able to choose between a wide range of assignments which will keep you on your toes. If successful you will be rewarded well allowing you to upgrade weapons and equipment. (Details)
Shadow of Rome
Shadow of Rome was showcased for the PS2. The game transports you back to the perilous ages of man an era when Caesar was hailed as the leader of the Roman Empire. You will play as Agrippa accompanied by friend Octavius and a female gladiator named Claudia, He must become a gladiator to save his father and uncover the truth. You will be able to switch between Agrippa (Action based) and Octavius (Stealth and adventure). (Details)
The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge
continues the story of Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and other familiar favorites in a whole new gaming adventure. Capcom plans to release the game worldwide this fall. (Details)
The Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Finally, Capcom takes players into the past with The Mega Man Anniversary Collection. A collection for the PS2 and Gamecube that feature an anthology of Mega Man games starting from 1 to 8. It will also include Mega Man the Power Battle and Mega Man 2 the Power Fighters. (Details)
