28th May 2004, 10:17am
MLB Slugfest: Loaded will be the first game to utilise the recent updates on Xbox Live through customisable and online tournaments. The game by Midway will use the xbox live 3.0 features to be abled gamers to create tournaments in game as opposed of using the XSN website. Expect many more games to use this option of creating in-game tournaments in the near future.
MLB Slugfest: Loaded is a baseball game based on the 2004 season that features Midway's fasy and furious gameplay with hard tags and over the top animations. New over-the-top abilities include turbo-speed running, highlight reel-worthy fielding and earth-shaking collisions. Gamers will be able to for the first time to take coaching skills and take the game online for both PS2 and Xbox which includes online voice chat, ticker tape and a live news feed from MLB.com.
The new live feature of creating tournaments online instead of going through XSN, is indeed an interesting feature and will no doubt become a hit especially as more games start using this feature. Discuss this feature in our forum
