2nd July 2004, 12:52am
Konami Europe have released further details about Pro Evolution Soccer 4. Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is to be released on the PS2, PC DVD and for the first time the Xbox. With more moves and tricks that flow fluidly then the first shall add to the gameplay value this series is known for. New in PES 4 is new free kick and penalty techniques.
Realism has been put up a notch or two with individuality playing a further part in the way players run, move and control the ball. Players will have advance player stats that will how the player handles the ball. Dribbling has been improved to give more control in a one-on-one situation with crosses and cut-back passes can now be made with further precision. Level of detail have increased with player likeness, with players recognisable due to the almost photo realistic graphics with added realism of match day of getting a dirty uniform.
PES 4 will feature an on-screen ref, along with an official who runs up and down monitoring play who even steps in when things get out of hand. AI in the ref has been refined with them reacting instinctively to foulds and the flow of play depending on how strict they are.
So whats new, we know that there has been refinements? you ask. More clubs and international teams are included, extra formation screens that control line up and the Master League has been vastly improved. You will be able to save your best eleven in an option for those big matches as players now can be forced to retire due to injury so you will have your work cut out to have a top team on the field.
Still no word yet on the online capabilities but i am sure that a lot of people will be hoping for online play. Hopefully it will be gracing us this spring. Discuss Pro Evolution Soccer 4 in our forums
