No Xbox 2 In the Next Year - Xbox

After much speculation on the internet about the release date of Xbox 2 getting out of the blocks as soon as early next year it has been clouded by comments from CEO Steve Ballmer at Microsoft's Financial Analyst Meeting 2004 stating
    There's no new Xbox in the next year, but, man, are we hard at work on that next Xbox; that's all we'll say.
I suspect Steve Ballmer was talking about the fiscal year, being the end/start of the fiscal year and the financial conference, meaning there is still scope for a 2006 fiscal release (Jul 05 - Jun 06). However this is all interpretation whether he means the full calender or fiscal, leading to possibilities of a late year launch. Nothing was mentioned about E3 next year and showing the next xbox off all we can do is wait and see.
