Square-Enix committed to NDS
8th October 2004, 11:38pm
Square Enix has shown some firm initial support for the Nintendo DS, with plans for a port of the classic SNES game FFIII, and offering some tantalising hints for future ports of Square titles on the NDS.
Producer Akitoshi Kawazu has stated that they are excited to bring the titles to the emerging NDS system, and even hinted that collaborative titles on the NDS would be something they may aim towards.
This is great news for Nintendo, and shows that one of the biggest names in RPG is making a good commitment to the emerging NDS - which will be vital to ensure its longterm success. Who knows what further Final Fantasy titles we may see in the future being ported to the DS.
