Half Life 2 Steams Ahead - PC

The release of Half Life 2 is finally drawing closer... with Valve releasing finalised details of its "Steam" service packages.
In order to keep gamers occupied as the release draws very near, Valve has allowed some advanced content to be downloaded via the "Steam" service that will allow a downloadable version of Half Life 2. These include releases of the Counter Strike source, amongst further goodies for those that subscribe.
Steam allows streaming download of games and exclusive content to registered subscribers via broadband, and will allow Steam customers to be some of the first players to get their sticky mittens on Half Life 2.
Valve has announced three basic Steam packages:
Bronze (or ATI voucher customers):

- Counter Strike: Source final release
- Half Life 2
- Counter Strike: Source final release
- Day of Defeat: Source final release
- Half Life 1: Source final release
- Further Valve back catalog
- Half Life 2
