More DS Start-Up Menu Info - NDS
10th October 2004, 3:24pm
As we reported earlier, the Nintendo DS will feature an innovative menu screen that loads on start-up. As you power on, the top screens shows the Nintendo DS logo, and the bottom shows an epilepsy warning. In the main menu there's an Options section, where you can set the date, time, your birthday and your username. Obviously, the username is for when you open PictoChat - your messages will be listed under that name. Also in Options are preferences to do with wireless connectivity. You can set it so that it automatically downloads files on offer when in a hotspot; this has already been confirmed for use at the movies, but another possibility is grabbing demo games from booths in stores.
You can check out all the games in development for an English release (there are a large number of games for the Japanese market only) here.
