Commercials in Video Games

It seems companies have finally realised just how much money there is in the gaming industry. In the new Need for Speed Underground 2 due out November 16th, you'll see a few retailers advertising their signs, and shops around the NFS world. It's said that this will become a more common event in todays games. The first experiment of this was back in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 where there were a few challenges involving the Chrysler Jeep.
"If the audience is there, the advertiser will be there," proposed Anthony Noto, an internet and media entertainment analyst at Goldman Sachs.
According to Nielson Media Research, TV viewership among men aged between 18 and 34 decreased by about 12 percent last year whereas they spent 20 percent more time on games.
Need for Speed Underground 2 delivers an immersive game world. Featuring a unique look and feel including varied driving conditions, real-time weather and with a host of new game modes will keep you playing for a long time. I couldn't put the game down. I've no doubt that the game is going to kick ass when released later this year.
