Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Only Supports 60Hz Mode - Gamecube
27th October 2004, 11:11pm
Nintendo of Europe has released the box art for the PAL (or at least, European) release of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and although the cover art is the same, there is a 60Hz warning logo.It appears that Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will be the first game ever to only support a 60Hz mode, and not the common 50Hz mode too. Some older televisions don't support 60Hz, so this is a baffling move by Nintendo. Presumably, it will be the same when it arrives here in Australia, so read your TV manual and check that it does support 60Hz. I guess they felt that if you're going to play it, you need to play and enjoy it at its best.
