More Mario Baseball Details - Gamecube

It appears that Namco may be teaming up with Nintendo to produce the game, similar to what is happening with Star Fox Assault (if it ever sees the light of day).

There will be the expected Challenge Mode, a progressive storyline-based adventure, a Trophy mode for tournament play, and of course, Versus Mode. Versus is apparently only for two-players though, so that may cause some disappointment. An unexpected addition is an 'encyclopaedia' of baseball...though whether it is a factual encyclopaedia or a fictional one is yet to be seen.
