PS3 to use NVIDIA

NVIDIA has been announced as the company to provide the graphics processing unit (GPU) for the PS3. The PS3 will contain a custom GPU which both Sony and NVIDIA will be working on based on NVIDIA's next gen GeForce. The gpu will set the foundation for the PS3 to provide a range of applications for entertainment to broadband applications. This agreement will be a multi-year royalty-bearing agreement.
