RUMOUR: Nintendo DS Turns PDA? - NDS
14th December 2004, 11:50am
Satoru Iwata has reportedly been working on a language translator/dictionary application for the Nintendo DS. It is meant to appeal to travelling students or workers who are jetsetting around the world. There has been no official announcement, but it seems pretty likely there is some substance to the rumour. Perhaps the idea will manifest itself in a sort of all-in-one office application for the Nintendo DS. Personally, I'd like to see a game card with a calender for appointments, notes, voice memos, translators and more.Something like this can't be far off, surely? It's nice that the Nintendo DS is being seen as a gadget, not a toy, but a program like this could really help boost its (already good) status.
