Average Age of Gamers Revealed

The New York Times recently conducted a survey of gamers, and found that the average age of console gamers is 24. With PC players, the age rises to 29. This is probably why "mature" games have become so popular in the last few years - gamers are growing up, and perhaps there aren't that many younger players anymore.

Also, the amount of games rated M (for Mature, obviously) has steadily risen. In fact, M-rated games have doubled their share in the marketplace in 3 years.
