Mistwalker's Debut Hits DS - DS
5th February 2005, 12:04pm
New studio Mistwalker has revealed that their first title will be for the Nintendo DS. Hironobu Sakaguchi (creator of the Final Fantasy series) formed the studio, and enlisted previous coworker Hideo Minaba for art design of the DS game. Minaba worked on such games as Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars and Final Fantasy VI. Rumour also has it that Nobuo Uematsu, who worked as a composer for some of the Final Fantasy games is also on board.Their Nintendo DS project will be an RPG, and an interview with Sakaguchi in Famitsu magazine implied that there will be 4 or 5 players. Whether this means it will use DS wireless capabilities for multiplayer, or simply that you will have 4 or 5 people in your in-game part was lost in translation. Stay tuned.
