E3 2005: Konami Game Factsheets

Konami has a large range of games on show at this years E3. To cover them all we have provided a snapshot of what is available with further information in our forums.

Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
The newly formed Kojima Productions is proud to announce that Metal Gear Solid 4 is currently in development for the PS3.

Karaoke Revolution Party (PS2, Xbox, GC)
Featuring 50 songs, Karaoke Revolution Party contains the largest library of songs ever released in a Karaoke Revolution game. The newest title in the groundbreaking music series will let karaoke crooners sing with – and compete against – friends with expanded multiplayer modes that are sure to enhance any party. Singing won't be enough this year as Karaoke Revolution Party supports the Dance Dance Revolution dance pad for a "Sing & Dance" mode

Frogger: Ancient Shadow (PS2, Xbox, GC)
Gamers join Frogger at his home in Firefly Swamp, where a dark secret has recently been uncovered. When an evil crocodile by the name of Dr. Wani tries to resurrect an ancient evil force that used to inhabit the swamp, it's up to Frogger to save the day. Joining the hero on his adventures is a new playable character, with their own unique skills -- Berry, a fourteen year old Amazon frog who performs as an acrobat in a traveling caravan.

Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) ULTRAMIX3 (Xbox)
Pushing the boundaries of Xbox Live® to deliver the ultimate online dance experience. This feature allows players to compete online and go head-to-head with other DDR fans from around the globe, talk live to other DDR players as well as download new songs and other content. ULTRAMIX 3 also features never-before-seen offline modes that cater to the casual, beginner and advanced dancers

Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) EXTREME 2 (PS2)
PlayStation 2 gamers will now have the opportunity to participate in exciting head-to-head DDR online competitions for the first time ever. The 100 top scorers will be recognized through an interactive ranking system, letting novice players test their dancing mettle against top-notch DDR experts. Players can also go online to access new challenge missions which will be refreshed periodically, allowing players a way to continually expand the DDR gaming experience.

Crime Life: Gang Wars (Xbox, PC)
This free-roaming, beat-em-up action game features a dynamic, engaging story line that delves into modern urban culture and puts gamers in the shoes of a small-time gang member as he fights his way for control of the city. Adding an air of Hip Hop authenticity to Crime Life: Gang Wars is the Detroit rap crew D12, which will be creating original music for the title and whose members will lend their voices and likenesses to the game.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS)
Taking place a year after Aria of Sorrow, the game's protagonist – Soma Cruz – finds himself at the center of a mysterious cult's plan to resurrect their evil lord and master Dracula. To save himself and protect the lives of those he loves, Soma must infiltrate the enemy's home base, a towering replica of Dracula's castle that is teaming with monstrous creatures. Players' abilities develop as they collect items and gather experience points by defeating a multitude of gruesome enemies.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (Xbox)
Disillusioned with the ideals of his mentor, Hector fled Vallachia to pursue a more normal life, leaving Dracula vulnerable to the Belmonts. Now, three years after Dracula was defeated in battle, the magic power of the curse released upon his death has infected all of Europe. Fueled by revenge for the death of his girlfriend, Hector must battle his way back to the ruins of Dracula's castle, and uncover an intricate web of deception, unaware of the sinister plan that has been orchestrated to lure him home.

beatmania (PS2)
Already a sensation in the arcades, beatmania combines high-energy pulsating music with cutting-edge videos, allowing wannabee DJ's the ability to create and perform music. Unlike complicated sequencers or software that allows users to drop in samples and play them back, beatmania is completely designed as a videogame – with an emphasis on having fun and feeling the music.

Ys: The Ark of Napishtim (PSP)
The Ark of Napishtim offers real-time, fast-paced action that takes full advantage of the PSP portable's capabilities. In his greatest adventure to date, Adol explores a series of islands hidden in the great vortex of Canaan where he battles with three magical swords imbued with elemental powers to gain special abilities, powerful combos, and deadly attacks.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour (DS)
The game takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS' touch screen and wireless technologies. Players will use the touch screen to navigate a city map to find duel opponents. Once a duel is initiated, the touch screen becomes a 2D card playing field and the battle begins. The top screen becomes a 3D arena that shows monsters rising from their cards to battle for Yu-Gi-Oh! supremacy.

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 (PSP)
Metal Gear Ac!d 2 incorporates a completely new graphics engine which provides innovative on-screen imagery. The game features brighter, more colorful, comic book-style visuals, which dynamically enhance the impact of the card effects. In addition, all-new action scenes have been added to the gameplay, providing even more exhilaration and suspense to the game.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (PS2)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is the enhanced edition of the smash-hit action game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, including all-new game modes such as the long-awaited addition of online gameplay, new duel mode, different camera perspectives, a demo theater mode and the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake games. Subsistence will draw gamers deeper into the world of Metal Gear Solid 3, with its immersive new content and action-packed gameplay.

SHAMAN KING: MASTER OF SPIRITS 2 (GBA)
Players return to the role of Yoh Asakura as they traverse multiple stages filled with perils, enemies and traps in order to stop a diabolical shaman from resurrecting the evil "Guardian of Demons." To assist Yoh in his quest, players can collect the spirits of vanquished opponents and use these spirits to help him in battle.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 3: Mutant Nightmare (PS2, Xbox, GC, DS)
The most in-depth TMNT game to date, TMNT3 introduces a wealth of unique features, including characters that evolve, a new experience point system, improved fighting control and more advanced multiplayer capabilities. As a special bonus, old-school Turtle fans will be able to unlock one of the original TMNT arcade games.

Winx Club (PS2, GBA, PC)
Bloom, an earth girl who discovers she has fairy powers, finds herself attending Alfea, an enchanted school that teaches gifted individuals to become fairies. Set in the mystical world of Magix, players take on the role of this energetic dreamer who is also the leader of the Winx Club. While exploring the Winx Club universe, players will solve challenging puzzles, play mini-games and engage in magic-based battles. As they guide Bloom throughout the game, players will make lasting friendships, discover Bloom's true origin and thwart the plans of evil witches from a rival school.

S.L.A.I. (Steel Lancer Arena International) (PS2)
S.L.A.I. provides an arcade style experience that allows players to quickly master the basics, yet also offers in-depth strategy for more advance gamers. Set in 2071, where robot fighting has become the most popular sport, players can earn money to customize the ultimate fighting machine to take into the online arena. With more than one million variations, gamers can make use of a seemingly endless number of body parts and weapons.

Coded Arms
Originally created as a combat training simulator to prepare for an alien invasion, the VR system was shut down during development after a major flaw was discovered. Unbeknownst to its creators, the simulation program continued to evolve on its own, turning into a vast and brutal VR world populated with virtual alien invaders, dangerous computer bugs and the VR system's own security bots.
