E3 2005: Sony PS2 Game Factsheets - PS2

Sony is showing off several PS2 games at this year's E3.  To make life simplier we have compiled and summarised the available factsheets.  For further details consult our forums.

Descriptions
Shadow of the Colossus
As a lone horseback traveller, your destiny is entwined with that of a lifeless young girl who lies on an altar within a vast temple. The girl is helpless, her soul has been lost and there is only one way to retrieve it...

Following a voice from the heavens, you embark on a dark and dangerous quest to seek out and slay the enormous wandering monsters that roam this strange world. Only you can defeat these formidable Colossi, and in doing so, only you can bring life to the girl who lies waiting on the altar.

WRC: Rally Evolution

WRC: Rally Evolution delivers a thrilling rally experience at every corner with new multi-car racing, stunning new deformable environments, improved co-driver directions and more cars to drive from rallying past, present and future. WRC: Rally Evolution and World Rally Championship on PSP are the exclusive games of the FIA World Rally Championship, guaranteeing explosive racing action for real rally fans, enthusiasts and novices alike: World Rally Championship is fearless and exciting rallying at its best.

Stuart Little 3
Following a freak flying accident that ruined his brother George's photography project, Stuart takes on the Big Apple, embarking on a frantic mission to save the day. Re-creating the photographs for the school project involves completing missions, following clues and a little bribery! Stuart recieves lots of help along the way, even Snowbell the cat will lend a hand if he's given a treat!

Soulcalibur III
Once again, the Soulcalibur series will expand the possibilities of the "beat 'em up" genre with its wide variety of game modes. The immersive Tales of Souls mode offers unique narratives for each character, whilst the new Soul Arena mode provides the player with a series of high-paced battles with various special conditions and situations. Character Creation mode will allow Soulcalibur III players to create their own unique warriors with customisable appearances and a range of fighting styles – a feature that is sure to excite fans of the series.

SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs
SOCOM 3 captures the reality of modern day warfare and builds on the success of the multi-million unit selling SOCOM franchise. It features three Areas of Operation: Southern Asia, Northern Africa and Eastern Europe and is packed with over 10 missions.

Sly 3
Sly 3 finds Sly and his crew in disarray and struggling against some setbacks. Bentley was crippled in the final battle with Clockwerk at the end of Sly 2: Band of Thieves and confined to a wheelchair, and Murray, feeling responsible for Bentley's tragic accident, has quit the team and chosen a path of non-violence and solace.

Ratchet: Deadlocked
Ratchet: Deadlocked introduces a powerful and entertaining feel and story to the Ratchet universe. Having been abducted by the deranged media mogul Gleeman Vox, Ratchet finds himself a contestant on 'DreadZone', the inter-galactic underground reality show. Until Ratchet can work out a way to escape, he is forced to fight in an array of battles and elaborate games of death. With all eyes on him, Ratchet becomes an unlikely TV superstar as the universe tunes in to watch him fight.

MotoGP4
With updated teams and riders, new circuits and a range of new modes, advances have been made across every area of the game. The highly popular 125cc and 250cc classes make their PlayStation debuts in MotoGP4, enabling players to test themselves at all levels of the sport.

Jak X
Jak X finds the popular pair in a frantic race for their lives. Combat racing has filled the void left in Kras City after Jak defeated the Dark Maker in his last adventure. Now, after being mysteriously summoned to Kras City to hear the reading of Krew's will, Jak, and Daxter are plunged headfirst into a dark and deadly plot. The will reveals that everyone present has been poisoned and will die unless the antidote is administered...everyone's life hangs in the balance as the heroic duo race against time in the Kras City Grand Championship. As the plot unfolds through an adventure mode, players will be treated to almost an hour of classic Jak and Daxter animation.

FORMULA ONE
Fans now have the best of both worlds with a game that not only captures the 'real' essence of the sport but delivers an unrivalled experience with real racing satisfaction. FORMULA ONE 05 & F1 Grand Prix boast all the official cars, drivers and teams, including the new Turkey circuit.

Buzz: The Music Quiz
Buzz brings the music game-show to your living room, testing your music trivia and buzzer skills. Included with the game are a set of four bespoke buzzers which lets four people play right away, and provides an interface that even a techno-zero would understand.

Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer
The game reveals the coming of age story of 'Brave', a young Native American boy as he tries to stop the destruction of his village by the evil Wendigo. On seeing his best friend Meadow Flower turned into a zombie, 'Grey Wolf', his guardian struck down and the Village ablaze, Brave embarks on his journey to find the only one that can save his village, the greatest Shaman who ever lived, Spirit Dancer.

24: The Game
24: The Game is set between seasons two and three and provides the answers to many unanswered questions: who was really behind the assassination attempt on President Palmer? How did Kim Bauer get a job in the L.A. CTU? How did Jack Bauer and Chase Edmunds first start working together? The game has jaw-dropping revelations for '24' fans and thrilling, non-stop time-pressure gameplay.
