The vice president of Epic Games (the studio that created the Unreal graphics engine) has taken shots at both the Playstation 3 and Revolution controllers. The Xbox 360 escaped his comments unscathed - no surprise really, since his development team is hard at work on Gears of War, for the 360's launch.

According to Rein, the biggest improvement that games will make next-gen won't be gameplay, but graphics. He also went on the record to say that Epic's games will be better because of the graphics boost. Asked if he could imagine a controller that better incorporates the mouse and keyboard set up for a FPS, he said he could, "but it’s not the Revolution controller." He also said that the games arriving on the Revolution would be "crappy" and "cheap".

Meanwhile, the PS3 controller got cut down too: "I don’t think anybody really knows what the PlayStation 3 controller looks like because we sure as hell pray it’s not that stupid looking thing they showed at E3."

Ouch.
