Here we have it: the sales charts for the week leading up to Christmas in Japan. The DS sold massively - nearly 600,000 units were despatched to buyers; this is twice the amount sold in the previous week. The PSP also sold well, with over 150,000 units finding new homes.

Interestingly, sales for the Xbox360 have dropped significantly from last week - it sold 44,000 in its week of release, but only 5,674 units in its second on the market. This seems to be an indication that Microsoft will still need to work hard to win over the Japanese.
