A spokesperson for the company said "We have not announced any details of the Nintendo power supply at this time," and added that the statement was a "small production error in the magazine" (the remark was first printed in the UK's Official Nintendo Magazine)
Most were slighty sceptical about it anyway, as we'd previously heard that the system could sit on its side. Plus, recently revealed specs and diagrams showed an AC port on the rear of the system. Admittedly, there was no outright denial of the suggestion, so we'll just have to wait and see.
