Yes, you read right. Hold onto your hats, because The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will sail onto your DS (Get it? You'll laugh later) towards the end of this year.

During Satoru Iwata's keynote speech, a trailer of a DS game began playing - we could tell it was for the system for two reasons: one, because it showed a line being drawn in an hourglass shape, which was obviously with the stylus and two, it also said 'Nintendo DS' before the trailer began. But then, as the classic 'you've solved the puzzle' Zelda chime rang out across the conference room, and the camera zoomed back to reveal Link passing through the door, fairy at his side, mankind rejoiced, for there was now Zelda on DS.

Celebrate glorious 3D, cel-shaded visuals on the system! Gaze in awe at the myriad of uses for the touchscreen, from puzzle solving with the boomerang (draw its path of flight), to the aforementioned door puzzles! Fight enemies with your trusty sword, while monitering your position with the map on the top screen! You can even scribble codes and notes on the map by dragging the screen down! Plot a path through the water seas on your steamboat (see, now you get the joke at the top) with the stylus! Fight bosses spanning two screens! Be baffled by the unwieldy name! Wait impatiently for the trailer to load!

Nintendo of America's senior director of public relations, Beth Llewelyn told IGN about the reveal at GDC (and not E3): "We just thought it'd be fun. We wanted to give you guys a little taste of what you'll see more of at E3. We thought you'd appreciate it. It's a game we're working on and we certainly wanted to start talking about it."

You all owe me a dollar if you can turn back time with the hourglass.
