Katamari Creator Not So Hot On Revolution - DS, Wii
24th April 2006, 9:11pm
The creator of the hit Katamari Damacy games, Keita Takahashi, has said that he's uninterested by the Revolution's controller. Speaking to the Game Developer publication at (funnily enough) GDC, it seems as if he won't be designing anything for the system any time soon.'I'm not really interested in it,' he said, explaining: 'I don't think a controller should have that much influence on the enjoyment of games. I see what [Nintendo is] trying to do, but they're putting such emphasis on the controller; 'Woah, this controller lets you do this!' and I'm thinking - are you messing with us? So, there's nothing I really want to do with it right now.'
Takahashi has yet to reveal his next project following the Damacy titles.
