Microsoft Recommends You Pick Up A Wii - Xbox 360, Wii

Yeah, that's right. Peter Moore (aka vice president of Microsoft) asked 'why you would by a $600 PS3?' (that's US dollars, of course). He then elaborated by saying 'People are going to buy two [consoles]. They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3.'

It seems Microsoft might have decided to side with Nintendo in order to really put the pressure on Sony this generation around. Currently, with Wii receiving rave reviews from E3, the 360's second generation titles wowing audiences and the PS3's high price and unproven Blu-Ray format, Microsoft might be in its best position yet to encroach on Sony's market. Nintendo continues to assert it's not fighting a battle at all.
