Nintendo of America has revealed that their president, Tatsumi Kimishima, will step down and become a chairman of the board as well as chief executive officer. Guess who's taking his place? That's right, it's Reggie Fils-Aime (that's 'fees ay-may').

A legend on the interweb, Reggie envigorated Nintendo's 2004 E3 showing when he rhymed his words and told the world that: 'I'm about kicking ass, I'm about taking names, and we're about making games.' Reggie will become president immediately, and will not only lead Nintendo in daily operation, but will also manage sales and marketing just like used to. Also, NOA's Mike Fukada moved up from senior vice president of Business Development to executive vice president of the same division.

'Around the world, Nintendo DS has been steadily drawing more people in the video game category,' said Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo Co. Ltd. 'With the upcoming introduction of Wii, along with the strength of this new leadership team and strong executives already in place, Nintendo will continue to dramatically change the way consumers of all ages interact with their video game console on a daily basis.'

In other words, Reggie can now kick a whole lot more ass.
