New Pokemon DS Details - DS

The internal clock of the DS will play a role in the new DS titles (Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl) - it will regulate the time, which is apparently important because 'the types of Pokemon you'll meet and how they evolve will be affected [by this time change].' Okay, so the meeting different Pokemon isn't new, but the evolving sounds different.

Similarly, the male and female Pokemon isn't a new concept, but now each will have different physical characteristics. The new gadget is the Pokemon Watch, which sits in the corner of the DS screen. It will not only display the time, but you can use a calculator (?) and other little features like a device that can predict the result if two different Pokemon battled each other.

No word on its release date.
