Nintendo Halts Wii Rumours - Wii

As you've no doubt heard, speculation has erupted in the last few weeks over the launch of the Wii, Nintendo's 'new-gen' system. The latest suggestions have been a September or October release.

Nintendo has come out to dispel the rumours, and told Bloomberg that while they have not announced a release date, they are still ready for a Q4 launch. 'We are planning an announcement in September and it may be causing some confusion,' Yasuhiro Minagawa (a Nintendo spokesperson) told them.

In the past, Nintendo said that an announcement would be made by September, so it's interesting to note that he said in September this time - no earlier, it seems.
