EGM's rumour section has a few huge suggestions that bode well for RPG and Nintendo fanatics. As we all know, Square-Enix is kicking off its support for the Wii with Dragon Quest Swords as a launch title. You may not have heard, however, that Dragon Quest Joker will be hitting the DS in the near future. Apparently, these two titles are being used to see whether Dragon Quest IX could be a Wii-exclusive, which could be an awesome coup for Nintendo. The series is the most popular RPG in Japan - above Final Fantasy - and is well-regarded in other regions as well.

Another suggestion in the magazine was that Square-Enix is also busy working on an MMORPG set in the Mana universe. Just what system(s) it would be on, and how an MMO could work on the harddrive-less Wii, is still unknown.

Finally, Nintendo itself is supposedly creating a Mother Collection for the DS, containing all three of the games (known as Earthbound in the Western world) on one DS cart. Since the first game wasn't even released outside of Japan, it would be awesome value.

Needless to say, until we hear from the source itself, don't take everything we say as absolute truth (except perhaps our reviews).
