Sony Patents Unique Idea - PS3

And by unique, I mean vaguely familiar. Japanese website Tech-On! reports that Sony has filed a patent for a game system - in this case, the PS3 - that could view a controller's position and direction in 3D by use of a camera. By holding the 'cylindrical' controller, the game translates real-life movements into in-game motion. Rumour has it this could be the topic of Ken Kutaragi's keynote at the Tokyo Game Show later this year.
