Forge of Freedom Announced - PC

Publishing firm Matrix Games today announced a brand new strategy game based on the American Civil War. Titled 'Forge of Freedom', the game is said to combine not only military aspects of the War, but the political and economic sides. Giving you the choice of fighting for the Confederation or the Union, Forge of Freedom provides a detailed insight into a very controversial part of world history. Eric Babe from the developer Western Civilization Software had the following to say:

'There is something about the Civil War that fascinates us, and we believe fascinates many others who have studied history. The US Civil War involved two sides, each with their own advantages and many, many possible outcomes. We hope to capture that 'what if' feeling mixed with the extraordinary risks and dangers soldiers faced during those times.'
