Playstation 2 HDTV Game Player - PS2

 UK gaming accessories company Xploder has announced that it will be releasing an addon which will allow HDTV resolution output from any standard Playstation 2. The aptly titled Playstation 2 HDTV Game Player will allow HDTV quality on any TV which supports HDTV.

By putting the customer Xploder disc into your PS2, you can configure the output settings, which are saved permanently to your memory card. An included high-definition RGB component cable is included.

Here are some of the features:

  • Output 720p or 1080i on all existing PS2 games.
  • Play all games in (ED - Enhanced definition) 480p resolution.
  • Choose additional hi-res VGA modes for output to VGA monitor.

You can take a look on the Xploder Website, but at the moment we couldn't find any details of the HDTV Game Player on their website. It may be available in a few days.

Sliced Comments: Could be a great way to get some of the quality of the PS3 and XBOX 360 on your existing console. Would be interesting to see the actual results.
