Welcome to the Guild Wars Store... - PC

Need to do some Guild Wars shopping? Now you can directly within the game! ArenaNet and NCSoft today announced that a new online shop would be avaliable for consumers. Players will now be able to purchase, download and enjoy new content from within the game, negating the need for any pesky CDs or patches. Players will also be able to buy the Guild Wars games themselves, in a similar vein to that of Valve's Steam service.

Sales director of NCsoft Europe, Max Brown, had the following to say:

'For the first time, NCsoft is giving access to its PlayNC store from directly within a game. This means that when players want to buy something to enhance their Guild Wars experience, they can actually do their shopping inside the game, instantly.'

Sliced Comments: It seems that digital distribution is becoming a very viable option, what with the evolution of the Internet, as well as constant need for updates. What are your opinions?
