Nintendo Stocking Broadway Since July - Wii
8th September 2006, 9:05pm
IBM's Broadway chip has been rolling off factories for some time, says the director of Technology Collaboration Solutions, Ron Martino. Although he didn't quote numbers, Martino reported that since July a 'significant amount' have been stocked by Nintendo.Confirmation today came from Nintendo's Genyo Takada, saying that 'Today's milestone marks the final stage of our drive to reach both core and nontraditional gamers with an inviting, inclusive and remarkable gaming experience.'
Nintendo's recently reiterated their aim for six million units to be distributed worldwide by March 31, 2007, starting sometime in Q4 2006, so it seems they're on track for their release schedule, even if Sony isn't.
