Halo Wars Announced - Xbox 360

 That's right, Halo Wars. An RTS game based on the best selling game series on Microsoft's gaming console, the Xbox.

SPARTAN's, regular soldiers, Warthogs, Tanks, Pelicans, Banshees and Elites are known to be part of the game, but hopefully we'll see some Grunts running around the battlefield too.

You may assume this is a new idea, but back before Halo 1, before Microsoft pushed Bungie into making it the be all end all launch game for their console back in 2002, there were Halo trailers that showed combat very similar to how an RTS game might play out.

Now, with the in-depth experience of Ensemble Studios, the makers of the Age of Empires series, comes Halo Wars.

No release date has been given yet for Halo Wars.
